Love Never Dies, the sensational romantic musical by legendary composer Andrew Lloyd Webber is coming to the Keller Auditorium!
The musical is composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber, its lyrics are by Glenn Slater (with additional lyrics by Charles Hart), and its book is by Lloyd Webber and Ben Elton (with additional material by Slater and Frederick Forsyth). It’s a sequel Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera (the longest running show in Broadway history) and Andrew has said, “I really do not believe that you have to have seen Phantom of the Opera to understand Love Never Dies. I really don’t. But I hope if you see them together, if you wanted to see them back-to-back, that what you would get from them – from both of them – is the extension of where the story goes.” He (along with Frederick Forsyth) began working on it in 1990 but it soon fell apart as he felt the ideas they were developing would be difficult to adapt for a stage musical. He returned to the project in 2007 and under the direction of Jack O'Brien along with choreography by Jerry Mitchell and costume designs by Bob Crowley, the musical premiered in 2010 (at the Adelphi Theatre in London's West End).
